Morgan Yaskus, therapist, smiling outdoors with mountains in the background.

I'm a therapist, an advocate, and someone who deeply believes in the possibility of change—even when things feel stuck or overwhelming. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not linear, and that people can hold both struggle and strength at the same time.

The name wild + rooted came from that very idea—this beautiful tension between being grounded and free. It reflects how I see people: capable of deep roots and expansive growth. In therapy, we make space for both—the parts of you that feel steady and the parts that long for movement, exploration, or even rewilding after pain.

I work primarily with teens, adults, and families, often navigating trauma, substance use, identity, and relationship dynamics. My background includes years in mobile crisis response and substance use treatment, which shaped my calm, practical, and deeply relational approach to care. I'm trained in many different therapeutic modalities and I tailor my approach to the person in front of me—never one-size-fits-all.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll often find me moving—biking along backroads, running trails, or hiking in the mountains I love. Being outdoors helps me reconnect with what matters, and that same sense of clarity, rhythm, and grounded movement guides the way I practice.

My hope is that wild + rooted can be a place where you or your child feel safe enough to be curious, courageous enough to explore, and supported enough to grow—at your own pace, in your own way.
